‘Wow’ your party guests with these bite-sized Puff Pastry Sausage Bites. Easy to make with puff pastry and smoked sausage, these everything bagel-seasoned appetizers are always a hit.
Preheat the oven to 400 F degrees. Add parchment paper to a baking sheet and set aside.
Remove puff pastry from the freezer and allow it to defrost for about 15 minutes.
Wipe the sausages with a paper towel making sure they are all dry.
Add a sprinkle of flour on the counter and using a rolling pin, roll out the dough to stretch it out a bit to fit the 6” sausage link. Cut the puff pastry into 6 equal rectangles.
Spoon the grainy mustard into the middle. Add the sausage on top. Using a pastry brush, brush egg wash on either side of the pastry. Pinch the puff pastry closed together and gently roll the dough to secure it.
Cut into 4 equal pieces and place seam side down onto the baking sheet.
Brush with whisked egg. Using a knife, cut a few slits in the dough. Top with everything but the bagel seasoning. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
Remove from the oven to a serving dish and serve with dijon mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.
