Add to a microwave safe dish with a lid and microwave for 9-10 minutes with the lid on. Check after 9 minutes for doneness and add any additional time when a knife easily goes through the potatoes.
Once done cooking, in the same container add olive oil, salt, garlic cloves and thyme. Close the lid and shake a few times to loosen the potatoes up a bit.
Add everything to your air fryer and cook for 20 minutes at 375 F. Then turn the heat up to 400 F and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes. Shake in between temperatures.
Once done, remove to a serving dish, peel the garlic and enjoy with your favorite dip. I like serving it with garlic aioli.
