Have you ever hosted a garden party? A few weeks ago, when the weather was perfect in Portland, I hosted an epic Garden Party at my house. Now, I’m sharing simple garden party tips and recipes for 3 easy garden party sandwiches.

3 GARDEN PARTY SANDWICHES
Lenas Kitchen Garden Party was a big hit. There were lots of beautiful flowers, cakes, rosé, bubbles and delicious sandwiches I made. Check out #LenasKitchenGardenParty hashtag on Instagram for more inspiring images from the event attendees.

Walk away with 3 easy sandwich recipes and tips for a great summer party that will have your friends talking about for weeks after.

TIPS FOR A GREAT GARDEN PARTY :

  1. Get some colorful potted plants and flowers. I picked up lots of affordable beauties at my local Kroger store.
  2. Set out the drink station on a bar cart or a add them to and ice bucket, I love the Simple Truth new Mango Grapefruit and Pineapple Seltzer Waters.
  3. Gather your plates, serving plates, napkins and glasses, set them up before party starts.
  4. Hire a florist or make your own flower crown station for an interactive part of the party.
  5. Create a chocolate filled s’mores station.
  6. Prep your sandwich station, cut any veggies or fruit ahead of time and set them out right before the party.
  7. Set out some lawn games for guests to enjoy.
  8. Get some friends to come early to help you.

Check out this abundant s’mores station, don’t you just want to dig in? Those browned butter cookies were the perfect vessels for the homemade marshmallows that Karlee made for the party.

Thanks to Hershey for provided all the yummy chocolates needed for these delicious Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie S’mores made by my friend Karlee of Olive and Artisan. She also taught the mini cake decorating workshop and the ladies used their s’mores they made as some of the topping decorations. If you are ever wanting to take a cool cake decorating class, she is your girl. Check out her blog for more delicious treats and classes.

Isn’t this a pretty epic group photo below of all my lovely creative friends? Love these ladies and so thankful that I get to be surrounded by so much talent. I felt like the God Father sitting in the middle here… hahah. Ok maybe not that, but definitely honored to be in their presence.

We moved outside and played with pretty flowers while creating our own flower crowns with Sophisticated Floral. So much fun and perfect for the pretty photos we took inside and out. I mean, when you put creative ladies together, we just are full of fun ideas for photoshoots.

When you have talented friends, ask them to help you with the interactive part of the party. The ladies had so much fun creating beautiful cakes of their own to take home after. I think it’s a great idea to have an interactive party, this way people have something to do when they are done eating.brie and prosciutto sandwiches

Can’t wait to hear which sandwich is your favorite, I love all three in their own ways. They are like children, you can’t choose one. But if I had to, probably the egg salad is my favorite. The bun adds so much flavor to a simple egg salad. Try one or try them all. And you don’t need a special occasion to have a party. Celebrate your feiends and share the joys of summer together. Cheers lovelies!

Be sure to check out all the deals happening at your local Kroger store for all their Red, White & BBQ promotion that they have going on for the summer! So many goodies to try out.

The perfect bite of creamy egg salad in a flavorful pretzel bun.

Ingredients

  • 6 mini pretzel buns
  • 6 large eggs, hardboiled, peeled and grated
  • 1/3 cup mayo, I use my homemade version, its the best
  • 2 tbsp fresh terragon, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp red onion, super finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • salt to taste
  • 6 cornichorns or mini pickles, optional to add on toothpick

Instructions

  • Boil eggs, use my Instant Pot cooking option or to get the perfect boiled egg: Start with boiling water, drop eggs into water, bring back to boil, set timer for 10 minutes. Remove eggs and immediately put eggs into cold water (x2 times) and refrigerate. Peels perfectly.
  • Using the large grater, grate the eggs into a large mixing bowl.
  • In the bowl with eggs, add in dijon mustard, mayo (try my homemade Whole30 mayo), chopped herbs and mix well until combined. Taste for salt and add accordingly.
  • Cut pretzel buns in hard horizontal, toast lightly. Spread a bit of dijon mustard on one side. Add in a dollop of egg salad and close with the top of the bun. Stick a toothpick through the middle. I add a cornichorn, to the top of my toothpicks for added pop of color and it goes well with the salad. Enjoy!

It was so much fun teaching everyone the art of simple floral crowns. It was fun to see everyone and how the materials were utilized to create something unique and different.
Your sandwiches and other dishes were amazing! I am still thinking about the grape dish. Absolutely superb!
