Why This Recipe Works
We love simple veggie sides, and this Garlic Parmesan Asparagus is our new spring favorite! Here’s why this recipe works:
- Crispy, Golden Edges: Roasting at 425°F gives the asparagus those lightly crisped tips and tender stalks—no mushy veggies here.
- Big Garlic Flavor: Three cloves of fresh garlic bring bold flavor that pairs perfectly with the earthy asparagus.
- Cheesy Finish: A generous sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan adds melty, salty goodness that takes this dish over the top, like our Keto Baked Asparagus with Parmesan.
- Quick and Easy: Like these Garlic Shrimp Soba Noodles, it’s on the table in under 15 minutes with just a handful of ingredients. Minimal prep, big payoff.
- Bright Citrus Finish: A squeeze of lemon at the end adds a fresh, tangy finish that balances the richness of the cheese and garlic.

Substitutions & Variations

- Spicy: Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes before roasting the asparagus for a spicier asparagus side.

FAQs
To avoid soggy asparagus, make sure to thoroughly dry them after washing. Also, don’t overcrowd the baking sheet. Give the asparagus some space to allow for even roasting.
The asparagus is done when it is tender yet still has a slight crispness to it. You can test it by piercing a spear with a fork. It should easily go through, but the asparagus should not be mushy.
Garlic parmesan asparagus can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Make sure to store it in an airtight container to maintain its freshness.
